Language Learning

I was first exposed to a foreign language at about eight years old. At my primary school (kindergarten through grade 6), we were required to study Spanish from grades 3 to 6. I continued on with Spanish in my high school studying the language from grades 7 to 12. At the end of my time in high school I received a Spanish award for my efforts and results over the years.

At UF, I also took Intermediate Spanish 1 and Beginners Haitian Creole 1.

After leaving high school I studied in Canada for two years. It was here that I started to learn French. I continued my French studies all the way up to my last year at the University of Florida (UF) where I pursued a Minor in the language.
