The University of Florida's Black Student Union
I first attended a Black Student Union (BSU) General Body Meeting (GBM) in the Spring of 2017. I didn't know too much about the group and actually only went because my friend invited me one day. From there, the rest is history. I enjoyed my time at BSU so much that I decided to apply to be a BSU mentor. In the Fall of 2017 I indeed became a BSU mentor and am still one currently.
Campus Alive
Campus Alive was a connect group of Alive Church formerly hosted on campus at the University of Florida. The group's intention was to bring college students together to grow in their love for Christ and their love for others. Campus Alive has since been revamped and now holds meetings weekly at Pascal's Coffeehouse.
The University Gospel Choir at the University of Florida
I participated in the University Gospel Choir (UGC) at the University of Florida (UF) in my second year at UF (2015-2016). I had heard about UGC in the previous semester however I didn't acutally find a member of the group until the Fall of 2015. UGC quickly became a home away from home for me. I felt welcomed the minute I walked through the doors. I participated in numerous functions the choir performed in and also went on Spring Tour with the choir.
